In the live threads this morning people were rightly asking ‘how fucked are we’ and I think there is valid fear around government repression of anyone they consider left. See the president and attorney general and chud commentators including Chuck ramping up rhetorical attacks on trans people writ large following the Annunciation school shooting.
But RW attacks against randos certainly seems like a real possibility. They like to talk a big game about kicking off their day of the rope fantasies and that is mostly keyboard warrior behavior, but it only takes one person that’s alienated and keyed up enough to go out an hurt an innocent person. I had seen there was already targeted harassment going after the livelihoods and reputations of anyone publicly posting indifference to the Finding Out event that happened.
