A lot of us here (myself included) started from South Park libertarianism. At least that version isn’t spawned from “I don’t like taxes”, it comes from “there is something fundamentally wrong with both factions of the ruling elite.”
I used to enjoy his show on late night radio like 15-20 years ago before I realized it wasn’t a bit, which is kinda embarrassing, but also like, his shit sounded extremely like someone doing a bit. “They’re turning the frickin frogs gay” come the fuck on.
And they’re the first to complain when potholes don’t get fixed in time.

But they all of them absolutely have ideology, they are fucking saturated in ideology, they just aren’t aware of it and will deny it, thinking that ideology is only something the evil other has, but not they themselves who are above such things and only see the world “as it really is” untainted by any “lens.” They are the ones with the most ideology. They have white supremacist ideology, they have settler-colonial ideology, they have American exceptionalism ideology, they have a mishmash of wacky Marvel slop and courtroom/cop drama TV series ideology. They have CNN/MSNBC’s ideology or Fox New’s ideology. In other words, their brains have been pickled by the ideology of their ruling class.

He was confirmed not to have any associations with actual real leftist organizations, so without functional praxis no matter what he personally thought in his head he wasn’t a real leftist.
His social media, texts, and discord messages didn’t really tell us anything about his beliefs, other than he probably didn’t like Charlie Kirk. Personally I think he’s a centre-right liberal who thought that made him a leftist (I see this all the time, where someone with completely non-radical beliefs thinks not being conservative and having non-traditional aesthetics makes them nearly a communist).
I still think it’s funny how some people here thought he was a Leftist when the texts came out and it was revealed he had a trans partner.

The US/FBI/CIA has done more unbelievable things, so I’m very open to that, but they read as believable to me. I don’t really have too strong of an opinion on them either way.
If the shooter was not this guy then more evidence and contradictions will start popping up beyond the texts.
I think the trans partner comes off more reasonable than if it was fake. She’s pretty much like “oh fuck I can’t believe you did that”
Nothing’s been proven yet, the state captured a guy and accused him of the killing, the media reported as if he did it, and everyone went along with it for some reason, same thing with Luigi

I know I’m veering into conspiracy territory, but the fact that they were trying to pin it on trans people before they knew anything whatsoever really sets off my bullshit detector. I suppose it could be true that the alleged shooter has a trans partner, but it’s also almost too perfect for the narrative.
Furthermore, kinda makes me lose my mind how we’ve all watched the Trump admin brazenly lie for 5 years, but for some reason, they wouldn’t lie about something like this. It’s truly so predictable and borderline formulaic-lie after lie after lie then something serious happens and we all pretend like this is the unequivocally true narrative

I think it’s unknown and basically irrelevant outside of being protective of his trans partner and thinking the way to accomplish protecting his trans partner is putting a global spotlight of right wing vitriol on them for their involuntary connection to an assassination that has not slowed down the anti-queer initiatives in the country.
