Right, and this was explicitly out in the open. People who wave their veteran flag for the worst war crimes of the 2000’s and 2010’s are either deeply un-introspective, or actually think US empire is good as hell.
Difficult to know what course he would have taken after being discharged. But he was taking steps to talk to Chomsky after he was out, which is a positive indicator that he was taking a better direction.
Continuing to not trust anyone who willing engaged in the GWOT is paying dividends.
