I think important historical buildings regardless of how evil they were constructed should be preserved in a way where people can learn about history. The president shouldn’t live in the white house it should be a museum with a section about how it was built by slaves and shit. I went to a former slave market in Charleston a few years ago and seeing all the evil there really gets to ya. I’m happy it wasn’t torn down because now its being used to educated people on the horrors of slavery.

Most libs jerk off to decorum and ideas of le neoliberal democracy and shit, but I dislike Trump making the white house tacky and tearing it down because it makes it less of a proper historical site available to be used by future generations.

reminds me of all those Old Egyptian stone monuments and shit where it proclaims the Pharaoh who built it (well, paid for it) as the Greatest of All Time until the next one comes along and stratches it out to put his own name there instead and it happens like six successions in a row. Pretty funny

Keep the president(chairman) in it and stick a giant hammer and sickle on the roof is also an acceptable option imo

I think we have to keep in mind that a lot of monuments were, in their time, partially demolished and rebuilt repeatedly over hundreds of years, with modifications this way and that. Very rarely do we get something completely preserved in its original state.

yea it really should be a historic site. i can’t even fully blame him for not liking how it looks in there, but its old as fuck so yea that will happen. Not that he has any taste to improve it. It’s just funny to see people mad about the plantation house.
