When you simplify things into good-bad dynamics and see that your guy is winning and advancing the things you want to see in the world, probably feels pretty good. Their material conditions are probably getting worse, but they believe there’s a greater good coming from it… That and the fact that they tend to not admit to having poor mental health. I know that last part first hand.
