What can we expect from them?

No conventional capabilities. Venezuela can prevent a comprador government being installed by arming patriots and fighting a guerrilla war, however, the US is likely to see Venezuelans killing Venezuelans as a win and a good excuse to simply bomb economic targets and cause as much damage as possible.

Standard US playbook: Attempt to install a comprador regime, and if that fails, turn the country into a failed state wracked with constant civil war, and hire mercenaries to take control of their natural resources.

Conventional-wise; might as well be nonexistent

In terms of guerilla warfare; overwhelming enough that the US would never be able to gain control over the entire country

I don’t think they can compete. My question is what happens when the cia try to install a puppet regime there. Could there be a long civil war that will go on forever and which will destroy trumps image? I hope the US cannot occupy venezula. Bleed them like Vietnam! 🥷

Venezuela can’t possibly have a lasting military strategy. They should go straight to an insurgency.

Insurgency has been the strategy since the beginning, that’s why they’ve been arming the citizenry with the explicit purpose of making occupation very costly.
