Hugo Chavez? More like Whogo, am I right?

Also I noticed they’re doing this thing where it’s “maduro supporters” doing this or that, with the implication being that they’re all just the dictator’s goons or part of his cult of personality or whatever, subtly removing the agency of Venezuelans to have political ideals of their own

also he squeaked by with Biden numbers last election. it’s obvious the party and ideology and movement (starting with Chavez) have more actual support then this guy. but way to martyr a politician that had wavering popular support and creating a rally around the flag situation. he’s now a symbol of resistance. and now the vast majority of socdem reformers are going to shift to revolutionary leftists and the right is going to be purged mercilessly, for the first time

seems like a stupid move by the trump regime but i don’t know shit

They also gave President Delcy a popularity boost. Mexico, Brazil, Cuba, Russia, Colombia, Nicaragua, Chile, Uruguay and China all recognized her as the legitimate president of Venezuela. Trump literally destroyed the political life of Machado that Bush and Obama spend decades making.

      if it stops here, yes

the question is can the increasing revolutionary fervor and organization in Venezuela outpace the increasing military and economic pressure of a focused US (and just how focused will the US really be?)
