Really puts into question the capitalist myth of the genius entrepreneur and the idea that these corporate types are rich because they are smart or deserving in some way.

And the internet is already fundamentally distributed. Capitalism has lead us to this point where there are only 4 sites on the internet, but the technology itself is decentralized and distributed. And if “distributed” means “peer to peer” well we’ve had that for decades too. So no I don’t think “web3” ever had any meaning other than crypto shit.
I guess I was mistaken. I do feel like I remember hearing about web3 in a p2p context before that but regardless.
