I’ve had luck pointing out this is the same song and dance that happened after George Floyd’s murder. Abolish became defund became reform became give them even more money. The Dems are trying to speedrun that progression already too.
True, but I think the point Sleve was getting at was attempting to lead people into the correct but hard to accept positions of abolishing the police and US military by getting them to agree with a much easier to accept premise, abolishing ICE. If we can convince people to abolish ICE, then it’s a whole lot easier for them to imagine abolishing similar institutions as well
A bunch of people here were glazing Greg Stoker, who when asked about ACAB applies to military he said no and then gave a bunch of lies like “they are held accountable” when he should know better… So I think it is safe to say not enough hexbears are “ready”
Anyone who is calling to abolish ICE can be led to agree with abolishing the police with a little care and education

Plenty of Americans hate cops. We are talking about the military, which is almost universally beloved and trusted by Americans
