Leave an alliance that comes with a comprehensive free trade agreement and cooperation, make surprised Pikachu face when you lose that free trade and cooperation. Brexit in a nutshell. I only thought that the perpetual surprise of the Brexiteers meeting the consequences of their actions would wear off at some point.

The UK has decided it so! They voted for Brexit. Now they have to live with the consequences. This constant cherry-picking by the British has to stop. It’s up to the EU what they decide and what not.

Damn. You know what the UK should do? They should figure out some way to be included in EU decisionmaking. Maybe get some way to, I dunno, cooperate with all the members as an equal.

Nobody forced them to go out, and in the aftermath they proved to be all but reliable.

EU imposing strict rules for anyone is basically natural.

What is crying is ‘British exceptionalism’, which thinks they should be treated better than others.

What’s “fair”? If the EU is looking to increase self-reliance, anyone who’s not in is of course at a disadvantage. Even if it wasn’t so, buying without paying import taxes is always more attractive.
