if every cigarette you smoke takes 17 minutes off your life, and every slice of bacon you eat takes 9 minutes off your life, if you smoke and eat bacon fast enough you can go back in time

I’ve done this! I love bacon, and I’m a smoker.

Incidentally, going back in time feels very similar to a stroke, but don’t worry, you’ll get there. Just keep inhaling and swallowing!

It’s too weird, in a wonderful way, that you knew the reference well enough to link the video. Golf clap, everyone, please. They deserve it.

Ever get a bad toothache and think to yourself “ah fuck, gotta make an expensive visit to the dentist” but then the pain subsides and entirely disappears a few days later? I’ve gotten a few of those and I wonder if they were false alarms or if the cavity went into stealth mode and will resurface with a vengeance some later day.

Yes. but also I’ve had the one where that happens over a few years and then you need a root canal and you learn that root infections eat away at your jaw bone (uncute x-rays) and can create a full blown systemic infection grade body load without showing the normal signs of infection and that’s even before it potentially gets into your bone marrow or blood.

But most of the time it just seems to go away again. Its so cool how teeth are luxury bones even though they’re the first failure point in a lot of cool cascading system collapse possibilities.

Just ask toothfairy to give back your teeth. It is so much faster.

badposting is a comm where you post badly

This is not a !the_dunk_tank@hexbear.net alternative. This is not a !memes@hexbear.net alternative. This is a place for you to post your bad posts.

Ever had a really shitty bit idea? Joke you want to take way past the point of where it was funny? Want to feel like a stand-up comedy guy who’s been bombing a set for the past 30 minutes straight and at this point is just saying shit to see if people react to it? Really bad pun? A homemade cringe concoction? A cognitohazard that you have birthed into this world and have an urge to spread like chain mail?

Rules:

  1. Do not post good posts.
    • Unauthorized goodposting is to be punished in the manner of commenting the phrase “GOOD post” followed by an emoji that has not yet been used in the thread
    • Use an emoticon/kaomoji/rule-three-abiding ASCII art if the rations run out
  2. This is not a comm where you direct people to other people’s bad posts. This is a comm where you post badly.
  3. This rule intentionally left blank.
  4. If you’re struck for rule 3, skill issue, not allowed to complain about it.

Code of Conduct applies just as much here as it does everywhere else. Technically, CoC violations are bad posts. On the other hand: L + ratio + get better worse material bozo
