I started to rant about how aggravating it is to have that nonsense as an obstacle to progress, but I got to thinkin.

The actual frustrating thing for me is that…it seems kinda self-evident that progress needs exactly this big group of people, and they’re basically inoculated (continually actively inoculated) against seeing reality. Hostile to it.

What I mean about needing this exact group is just that it’s a large group of folks who clearly have some time to spend, give some fucks about the problems, and have enough logical grounding to ~notice and be consciously bothered by contradictions.

And they’re just over there doing that. All jokes aside, better than just all of that happening here-ish, but fuck.
