I am not eligible for free hospital transport and you have to pay for that upfront and try to claim it back later anyway. Without help there is nothing I can do but cancel my medical appointments. If I have to cancel, my condition will deteriorate even more and I’ll be on the waiting list for a long time again. Without being able to get to the GP for dressing changes, my surgical areas will probably become infected. My mobility issues are so bad now I can’t change them myself. I’m now allergic to antibiotics, so what will I do if that happens? And as a cancer patient, I am immunocompromised already, so always more at risk of infection. My mobility issues are also worsening and without being able to attend my physiotherapy rehabilitation (needed because of having had a stroke - a side effect of my cancer treatment), they’ll get even worse, quicker.
