The Counter-Revolution of 1776:Slave Resistance and the Origins of the United States of America.
As the United States of America, celebrate its independence anniversary declared on 4th July, 1776, we take a look at the history of America, the events that led to declaration of independence, and most importantly why declaration of independence was not a cause for celebration among all Americans, particularly for the native Americans and the enslaved African Americans. “For Native Americans, it may be a bitter reminder of colonialism, which brought fatal diseases, cultural hegemony and genocide. Neither did the new republic’s promise of “life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness” extend to African Americans. The colonists who declared their freedom from England did not share their newly founded liberation with the millions of Africans they had captured and forced into slavery.”
The so-called Revolution was according to Professor Gerald Horne, was a ‘Counter-Revolution’ a conservative effort by American colonists to protect their system of slavery. Contrary to anonymous role often assign to African Americans in the American Revolution (which Prof. Gerald Horne refer to as Counter-Revolution) the prof. lucidly outline their roles and their major impact. The book is a great shift in paradgim.
Professor Gerald Horne, is the author of the book “The Counter-Revolution of 1776: Slave Resistance and the Origin of the United States of America.”

I thought about air quality a couple weeks ago and now ive been driven insane by it. This 20 dollar AQM seems accurate but it’s hard to tell. It says the humidity in here right now is fucking 64%! this is with a 50 pint dehumidifier that’s SUPPOSED TO BE GOOD FOR 3500 SQUARE FEET (well over 2x the space of the house) running since fucking yesterday. The lowest I’ve seen its gauge go is 48 (AQM reading 58+) or 32 (AQM reading like 45+) enclosed in the bedroom
The machine that tells me lies said there’s gallons of moisture baked into the furniture and walls and shit that needs to evaporate and it might take a while but like I’m really sitting here very anxious I just wasted my partner’s money on a dehumidifier if the HVAC situation is so fucked that it basically has no effect. Yes we have an A/C running
Hey you can check out https://breathesafeair.com/ and https://housefresh.com/ for reviews of air filters, and air monitors, and etc, they’re truly great^^
Thanks but I think at least the dehumidifier hygrometer is probably accurate and i think what I really need is an HVAC air nerd to check shit out and see if there’s A Problem or if I’m seeing totally normal levels of humidity and it really is just an issue of “yeah it has to work for several days to suck all the moisture out of your furniture and stuff”
Like idk for all I know the reason I’m not really seeing it drop below 55-50ish despite having dumped gallons of water already is maybe there’s a tear in the ductwork so the AC is constantly bringing in fresh humid air? I feel like in that case the AQM would show more particulates from pollen and dust but it would explain why CO2 never seems to build up even with everything closed
Afaik AQM’s under 50$ are deeply inaccurate, the good ones are quite expensive like barebones CO2 is 80$ and a full on AQM is around 150$ cause it uses whatever gas measurement system
Yeah but the dehumidifier has its own hygrometer to operate which is also indicating “yeah dude it’s really humid in here” so i dunno what to believe
i’m just telling myself it’ll shut off any day now, just like the lying machine said it would…
I got the 20 dollar AQM because I figured even if it doesn’t display an accurate CO2 level it would still show if there’s a general increase indicating it building up? but it generally just reads 450ish ppm and when I’ve seen it spike it’s been under circumstances i do not understand
It’s probably not reading the CO2 level at all, sensors need to be recalibrated and if its not recalibrated or really bad it probably treats 450 as the baseline
yea humidity is horrible to get rid of solidarity lets hope you dont get a mold infestation cause that would suck, im not really versed in dehumidifers, i mostly know corsi rosenthal boxes, air filters, that kind of stuff, good luck!!
