      I was wondering why the article alternated from “Darline” to “Darlene” and then…

      Her brother taught her to spell her first name “Darline,” a spelling she continued to use in adulthood

      Soo her dumbass brother didn’t know the correct spelling of her name after their parents died, and she just stuck with the misspelled version bc it was all she ever knew being raised by him?

      Actually this looks less sinister than it sounds. It seems like after their parents died Lindsey adopted his sister so he could be her legal guardian. She might have otherwise been made a ward of the state and stuck with a foster family.
