What would conservatives/regressives be doing if they weren’t making up problems to distract from real issues that their candidates don’t have the willpower or IQ to address?
This one is particularly frustrating because there are serious and urgent issues about trans people in sports, and by drawing all the attention to a made-up problem, they prevent us from discussing the serious issues. Isaac Ranson, a trans man, signed and played this season in the USLW, a women’s development league, for the Minnesota Aurora (who I don’t want to paint as a villain here; I deeply believe they are working their hardest to make women’s soccer a welcome and accepting place for all and doing their best to make good from a bad situation). We desperately need to make sure that Isaac understands that he is a man, and it would be inappropriate to allow people to treat him as if he were a woman so that he will play for their sports team. But we can’t have the real discussion about how and when players who are transitioning move between leagues because we’re too busy shouting about a problem that doesn’t exist.
Getting drunk and raping people?
Hey now. You always have a choice to vote for the “progressive” party. I’m sure their leadership are dealing with real issues; and definitely not spending all their time on media talking about how bad a Twitch streamer is because he’s improving turnout in democratic primaries. They are definitely talking about real issues like healthcare, the Iran war, and our new trade war with Canada, right? Surely they aren’t spending all their time trying to label their own general candidates as antisemites. Surely not.
I hate sports tbh, but regardless, I think a lot of people (not you, I’m sure) miss the point of like… sports aren’t, and never were, fair? They’re basically like, the genetics/background lottery.
But if we follow the main transphobic sports rhetoric logically, women who have been HRT for long enough stop having a biological advantage (with the exception of, idk, hreater height and larger hands).
But of course, they don’t care. It’s not about sports or bathrooms or the safety of children and cis women. It’s just about hurting us and being cruel. They want us hiding, gone, or dead.

I desperately want the league to come out and say with their whole chest that trans women are women and they belong in the W, and then define a concrete path for an AMAB person who comes out trans tomorrow to enter the league. It won’t stop the transvestigators, but I’d bet real money that requiring any effort above “go on tv and say you feel like a woman some days” would get rid of trolls like Enes Kanter Freedom and Royce White right quick.
