For hair regrowth on feminizing HRT, the stack is estrogen, [antiandrogen of choice], dutasteride, topical minoxidil. Don’t use progesterone during this phase as it interacts negatively with finasteride/dutasteride and can cause hair shedding instead of regrowth, but progesterone shouldn’t be taken until Tanner stage III of breast development anyway. If you’re taking SERMs to avoid breast development, you’re not gonna want to take progesterone anyway.
For masculinizing hrt, it’s so and you’re just cooked. Fuck around with the minoxidil and dutasteride all ya want, it’s basically random chance if it’ll help slow thinning or not.
Your antiandrogen doesn’t block 100% of T and isn’t supposed to. The goal of the antiandrogen part of feminizing HRT is to reduce T levels to the typical female range. The female range is like 10-70 ng/dL where the male range is like 250-900 ng/dL.
In fact, many common antiandrogens like spironolactone or bicalutimide don’t block production at all, they block the androgen receptors. GnRH antagonists actually block the production of sex hormones, but they’re less commonly used for HRT.
Since your body will still have some testosterone, a DHT blocker will prevent it from being synthesized into DHT and thus can help restore miniaturized hair follicles.
we as a society should’ve spent some of that hair loss research money on dick surgery research
Not until I have my god damn hair regrown.
pls dear gods, let the hrt do its magic so we can give the money to the dick research

What is Tanner stage III?
You can look up the Tanner scale of physical development for further info, but here’s a handout with a basic guide.
Listen to this advice people. This person grows.
Not personally needed, but yea.
Love to help people know what they’re doing
If you’re already on an antiandrogen, what good is a DHT blocker like dutasteride? DHT is synthesized from T, if you don’t have T you don’t have DHT.
I am not an endoctrinologist so idk maybe I’m super wrong. 🤷♀️
