You can skim this list of fatalities and list of tenents to see the great majority of office workers and businesses were in finance, banking, and insurance. There were no small businesses other than the two restuarants.
Almost all office worker deaths on 9/11 were finance related people trapped in upper floors. “uncle bob” did not have the money to pay for a 90th floor office in the heart of downtown Manhattan
Okay but I imagine you even a finance or insurance office has janitors or guys who just swap out toner on the printer. Pretty much every big company does some evil stuff, the only way to not be culpable in something bad is to be unemployed. But there’s a big difference between working for GEICO and Lockheed Martin.
Yes, all innocent deaths are a tragedy. The point is that the twin towers made up the center of US financial power which was the main driver of US imperialist violence. And since the US is the aggressor in every conflict, they set the standard of violence. And according to that standard of violence (which is grotesque), the twin towers were a legitimate target to attack.
I’m not crying or nothing, just saying it sucks for any poor janitor or elevator repair man who was in there. It’s a legit target but I think there were MORE legit targets. Like the pentagon for example.
No no no you see, that is reactionary thought. Clearly all white collar laborers and even anyone with a job are the essence of evil and their individual deaths should be celebrated.
Only the pure leftists who don’t read theory, don’t have a job, and don’t have any income to tax despite being perfectly abled are allowed to criticize capital. Everyone else contributes to The Empire and is therefore tainted.
