“Workers of the world unite” is too long, I think we need to use chat more. “Chat, unite!”
Idk why people act like “chat” is some linguistic novelty. Addressing the audience is not a new thing. It’s just like saying “ladies and gentlemen” or even just “guys”. Like “guys, is this real?”. It’s not a pronoun it’s just the addressee of your sentence.
It’s nice that it’s both concise and completely degendered. I do have a soft spot for “conference” though, it feels upmarket and fancy.
