Options are few far in between , forcing me to use 1st party app . As much as it sucks it’s the only way i can access tumblr , The website is awful slow even with adblockers
Given all that, it’s a wonder why there’s hardly any 3rd party offerings compared to (twitter|reddit)

Sorry, my brain had a moment. It’s not slow for me using Fennec with uBlock Origin. Have you tried a different browser?
Firefox with uBO , same setup as yours (assuming fennec’s not much different)
Fennec should be the same, unless I made some about:config changes that I’m forgetting
I’m not doubting you at all, but that’s weird. If anything, the official app is slower for me.
