Honestly this is one of the only things holding me back from going to graphene. Once this is available to non alpha users I might make the switch properly.
This was a big one for me. The other was eventual opening up and support of RCS. Texts are one of things I used the most to communicate and options were (for my contacts): Regular Android: 20% E2EE, iOS: 80%, Graphene: 0%. Not a limited of graphene specifically, but if iOS starts using it in an E2EE way hopefully that means there will be some sort of API way to achieve that for other non-google software.
