President Joe Biden had conspiracy theorists in a tizzy after posting what appeared to be his reaction to the Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl win on Sunday night.
“Just like we drew it up,” Biden posted on X alongside a photo of “Dark Brandon,” the meme created by hardcore—and very online—supporters of Donald Trump that Biden and his team loved so much they adopted it as their own.
The post was apparently referencing far-right conspiracy theories which posit the NFL and high-level government operatives conspired to rig the Super Bowl in Kansas City’s favor to give maximum exposure to a yet-to-be-announced endorsement from Chiefs star Travis Kelce and his girlfriend Taylor Swift.
I got a chuckle out of it. the real problem with biden is he’s funding a genocide abroad while going easy on secessionists at home.
He’s got a couple.
But mentioning them in comments or articles gets a shit ton of down votes.
People really think talking about problems is worse than the problems and we should ignore them
It’s not because we don’t think problems should be talked about, it’s that you’re comparing a functional adult to Trump and acting like you can’t tell the difference. I’ll help, there’s only one real difference: Biden isn’t a fucking traitor. That’s the one that we care about.
So drop the act, bud. This one is too simple even for the dullards like me to forget: Trump is a traitor, Biden is not, and we don’t vote for traitors.
Nope
Biden is a better president than trump, that’s indisputable.
That doesn’t mean Biden is good enough to be president.
Hell, I don’t even know you, but I fell confident you’re better than trump. If you wouldn’t support a genocide, I’d say you’re a better option than both of them.
It’s a pretty low bar, lots of potential candidates not only would be a better president, but more importantly have a better chance of winning the election.
Hey, I want AOC to run, but until then I’m not going to discourage people from voting for the only candidate who’s not going to piledrive the US headfirst into the dirt.
So again, drop the act. Yeah you want a better candidate than Biden, great; that’s not the choice. The choice is Biden or Trump. If you don’t vote for Biden, your voting for Trump. If you don’t believe that fine, stop reading; if you do, there’s nothing more to say anyway.
You still don’t get it…
This is the same shit we went thru with Hillary.
Biden is unpopular. He will depress turnout. Depressed turnout is how republican presidents are made.
I hope some day you get that, but I’m not explaining it again.
YOU still don’t get it. On the surface, you act like Biden and Trump are the same, when they’re not. It’s nice you think I’d make a better president than Trump, but a literal rock would make a better president as that’s incapable of treason.
Unless you have a plan to change the Democratic nominee this year, all you’re doing is depressing voter turnout by encouraging people to forget one simple fact: Biden is not a traitor.
I do hope you’ll understand someday soon, but until then you can have this block, because I’m not explaining it again.
How many genocides did trump actively support?
Fucking 0?!?!?!?
You mean besides the one he wants to start when he’s elected?

There was also his threat to nuke North Korea, which would be a genocide.
https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/donald-trump/trump-discussed-using-nuclear-weapon-north-korea-2017-blaming-someone-rcna65120
Then there was his threat of cultural genocide in Iran…
https://www.npr.org/2020/01/06/794006073/trump-says-hell-target-iran-s-cultural-sites-that-s-illegal
And of course there’s the genocides that Trump wouldn’t admit ever happened.

As far as his Israeli policy? He acknowledged that Israel’s claim that Jerusalem, a city divided between Israelis and Palestinians, was Israel’s capital, pretty much ending any hope for peace.

So sure, he did not literally directly support an ongoing genocide… but I think it’s clear that he would.
He committed more US troops to help the Saudis against Yemen.
So maybe after trump wins this time you guys will meet us on the side of supporting a president that isn’t sending bombs to kill innocent children.
If you keep letting them support genocidal actions win the vote when someone else would have easily won just by not supporting genocidal actions, then you get what you deserve.
Have fun dealing with your shit sandwich, maybe after trump 2 electric boogaloo y’all will stop supporting the killing of innocent babies
Trump absolutely sent bombs to kill children. Sometimes he even authorized the drone strikes himself. Trump has also proven to be a massive supporter of Israel so I don’t see why people think it would be better or even different with Trump.
Plus he’s a rapist and a traitor, and a racketeer, a compulsive liar, narcissist and many other terrible things we should never see in a president.
Did we lose 10,000 of them directly because of his actions?
Or did we lose those because Biden decided to directly support Israel?
As opposed to every president the US has had since the 1940s? Quit avoiding the question. Do you honestly believe it would be better under Trump? Or can you be honest and admit it would most likely be even worse and that he would also let Russia steamroll Ukraine?
We don’t actually know because the Trump administration removed transparency on drone attacks. Could’ve been 5000. Could be 20000. It certainly does not bode well that they hid that.
Better a traitor than a genocidal action supporting motherfucker.
They’re not mutually exclusive and Trump will do the same or worse as has already been seen.
Also, you’re wrong.
See you say that, but he was in office and we still supported 0 genocides.
So the total score is 0 genocides to 1
This is a perfect example of why you shouldn’t be taken seriously. The idea that Biden is supporting genocide and that Trump didn’t and/or won’t is absurd on its face. There’s nothing wrong with criticizing Biden or his administration, but you’re misleading (at best) when you act like Biden is the greater threat. He’s not. That’s an objective fact. Anyone arguing otherwise is not operating in good faith.
So, you are applying what you think might happen compared to me applying what has actually happened.
History hasn’t happened? Trump didn’t enable a shitload of dictators already? He hasn’t constantly expressed adoration for authoritarians around the world? He hasn’t explicitly stated he would do the same thing again? Trump, the person who was so tough on Bibi? Trump, the person who moved our embassy in Israel?
It’s like history reset the moment Biden was inaugurated. All the horrible awful shit Trump has and will continue to enable doesn’t matter anymore for some reason (or it straight up didn’t happen apparently). You’re living in a completely different reality than the rest of the planet I guess?
If you said “Biden is bad because of X and Trump is worse because of Y” we’d be having a totally different conversation, but you don’t want to do that do you? You said none of it happened. You don’t want to make that comparison because it shows us one of two things (maybe both idk):
You do realize that Israel was not suddenly funded and armed by the US when Biden was elected, right? Trump’s administration gave them plenty of money and weapons, and showed strong support for Netanyahu. He empowered an apartheid regime, and when recently asked about the Palestinian genocide, he said he wouldn’t accept any Palestinian refugees.
So, your position puts you in favor of denying Palestinian refugees while their genocide continues. You’d prefer for Trump to have a genocide of 1.5 (or whatever denying genocide refugees would be worth numerically) vs Biden at 1, because Trump happened to not be in power when Israel decided to use their weapons from the US to ramp up airstrikes.
Oh! And you are aware that this genocide has been going on for a while now right? Not just since 2021? So Trump was not only in support of a genocide, he was buddy buddy with Netanyahu. At least Biden seems to hate the man.
I truly don’t understand your logic. You’ve willfully contorted yourself to give Trump a pass to instead criticize Biden.
Fuck Donald Trump. Is that clear enough for you?
I never thought Biden’s was that great of a present, but he was exactly what I expected, a middle of the line milquetoast gonna pull off what he can thing.
Then he kept giving weapons to the Israelis, I can’t forgive that.
Unfortunately these are the two options you have. One of the two will happen anyway even if you abstain.

But trump also supports Israel and thinks Israel should have exclusive claim over Jerusalem??!
Is correct point of view, though. Many people see great leader like Putin and agree that elections of weak Biden are not good. I too am a concerned Leftie Swift who is also transgender and of color.
They’re both poop, so just preferring the smell of one steaming pile over the other doesn’t make it better. Turning and burning in the sun and fertilize healthier crops may.
Biden has been one of the most progressive presidents in decades. But you didn’t get your cookies and milk, so he’s poop. Got it.
Some people think that Lemmy should be more like 4chan. Downvotes are Life and all that.
Edit:
spankdownvote me harder please, daddies!wdym? 4chan infamously doesn’t have a ratings system, things are posted chronologically, and the currency is how many triggered idiots you can get to respond to your bait posts, rather than upvotes or downvotes. Which is why the platform tends to be edgy, and contrarian, and full of attention begging half-wits. Rather than devolving into echo chambers, and people posting like 10 inside baseball lowest common denominator references to a TV show’s joke, where they just play out a bit verbatim, like every fucking reddit, or reddit imitator.

oh. THAT probably explains all the downvotes to my own comment then, thanks! :-P
