Apparently that’s not legal. If you can’t run for president you can’t be vice president. Not that Trump would care but it’s not the legal loophole some think it is.
That’s not actually clear. The 12th says if you’re ineligible to be president then you’re ineligible to be VP. But the 22nd doesn’t say you’re ineligible to be president, it says you’re ineligible to be elected president. That’s a meaningful enough distinction to leave plenty of room for interpretation.
