It turns out my position is on track to be unionized. I’m honestly pretty excited about this - not just for the benefits, but for the possibility of doing agitation and doing whatever I can to develop class consciousness.
The only thing is, I don’t know where to even start. Does anyone here know of some good resources for how to agitate and organize within a union structure.
It’s the Teamsters so not exactly a radical group to begin with, and this is doubly so with my immediate co-workers who are in the Local that I will be a part of.
Any help is appreciated.

Ask open ended questions, active listening, affirming what they say, asking what they wish could change, asking what they think it might take to change, suggesting collective actions (e.g. you and me together go do that/go talk to so and so/send an email). Whether it succeeds or fails, debrief, suggest further actions. Once you get a group doing actions, let’s set a meeting to coordinate. Congrats you’ve got the bones of an organizing committee. Just know that most of agitating is going to be listening. You can’t tell people what they should be pissed about, they will tell you. Especially if they trust you
