Hell Yeah! I was off drinking for 3ish months around the birth of my kid last year and honestly I might just drop it again for good

I dunno if it’s just my adhd-ass brain, but there definitely was a cut-over point of “i just don’t do this anymore and i don’t care” and i was losing weight like crazy which I saw as a positive (although, a good chunk of that was birth and post-birth stress and fight-or-flight mode because neither of us ate properly for like 2 weeks). But i feel like once people hit some sort of threshold for a habit of just not doing it, it must become way easier?

Booze is so gd bad for you. I drink less and less every year but I still occasionally get into it and generally without fail I take it too far (I just really would rather get fully altered no matter what I do). It’s obviously not healthy.

Glad to say I just don’t really keep booze in my house anymore and that mostly does the trick but that didn’t stop me from buying a six pack of the strongest beer on the shelf last Sunday and proceeding to completely ruin my Monday. Honestly there’s so many better substances to be abusing but it’s the most easily accessible and that’s often what really ends up getting me.
