America has great power in selling a narrative and polluting minds. Hollywood and its bullshit has been a really powerful asset for the Americans.
For sure Hollywood has played a huge role.
- The desensitisation of war and violence.
- Celebrity worship. Politicians are treated like celebrities and when they do evil things, it’s treated like an episode of Entertainment Tonight.
- The fiction of the American saviour (e.g. Superheroes and all those damn apocalypse movies where the USA saves the world).

This godforsaken region is doomed if Cuba falls and confirms my belief that our settler-colonial roots are what’s keeping us from our potential.
The region is weak against the us military, true, but so many things could be done as a form of solidarity and instead the majority would rather continue to worship the US and get brainwashed by their evangelicals.
There’s potential in the region but not enough compared to places like Asia or Africa.
