Demand is the desire and ability of people to purchase a specific product or service at a given price. It reflects both interest in the item and the financial means to acquire it.
This guy’s a skeevy sleazeball who will inadvertently get his workers killed in pursuit of profit.
But he doesn’t have to explain this to Gabi. He’s not even very condescending about it.
I think he’s always quite liked Gabi. I vaguely remember he offered her a job with higher pay running a second shop so he clearly recognises she’s quite capable.
