I’m honestly at the point were i view “he gets too much into character when acting” as a major red flag when it comes to male celebrities. It always makes me think of abusive shits like Kinski or Depp who always play themselves. Not saying this holds true for all method actors, some clearly have more range than that, and i should also stress that i am referring exclsuively to men here. But it is a type of guy and film tends to reward that one.
