I once had a history professor tell us about the Barbara pit as an example of Soviet “Atrocities”

I remember laughing out loud and being like “Good, they should have done it more! Every mineshaft should be filled with Nazis!”

    Got a B

Hey it’s me, cousin Barbara. Barbara Pitt. You know that hot new socioeconomic program you’ve been looking for? Well listen to this:

    series of grenade detonations

The wild thing about learning about the pit is at first you’re horrified and disgusted. You think about all the hexbears posting for the pit and think is that what we would become too?

Then you see some disingenuous libshit asshole callously handwave endless unlimited exploitation so the treats keep flowing, or they speculate on how fuckable some desperate future war refugees will be and you find yourself pit posting too.

I mean i find it kind of horrific when the wiki mentions civilians in addition to POWs but I kind of just figure they deserved it if people are so vehemently pro Pit here, but I was hoping for more of an explanation of the context in how it was decided to execute those civilians. Iirc the Yugoslav home guard was basically worse than the SS? So i guess for them it’s fine? but i feel like especially civilians should have at least had a trial or something? I didn’t see that mentioned in the wiki but maybe i missed it

I don’t wanna cry over dead fascist murderers but it’s kinda fucked to think of that sort of death for anyone who didn’t deserve it, yknow

A pro tip for deciphering NATOpedia articles: check how many citations are required to validate “communist atrocities”. For example:

          • The communist partisans ganked some fascists, maybe, who’s to say they were really fascists?[1]
          • AND SOME INNOCENT SMOL BEAN CIVILIANS!!![2][3][4][5][6]

          1. Citation Needed ↩︎

          2. It is known. ↩︎

          3. It is known. ↩︎

          4. It is known. ↩︎

In the extremely uneducated opinion of someone who just learned about it and hasn’t done much deeper digging, I would assume the civilians were all collaborators of varying scales, given they fled the country alongside the military Nazis. I don’t think it’s possible to verify that everyone deserved it, but they were the ones leaving with the Nazi army. As for why they were all killed, again my uneducated assumption is that there simply was not the prison space nor logistic capacity to hold them all.

Yeah I get the desire. My instinct is that crimes against humanity happened there along with the justice. It happens.

What scares me is how easily I can see five or ten people in a day via hexbear posts who can still go in the damn pit even after I realise it was probably a complete excess of nightmarish cruelty.

It makes me aware that I have lost some humanity I think. kitty-birthday-sad

Yeah… I’m not the type of person to fantasize about killing people, but sometimes it’s cathartic to joke about all the capitalist robbers and their cronies getting The Pit.

            Edit:

speculate on how fuckable some desperate future war refugees will

Just read this. Correction. I’m not the type of person to fantasize about killing people unless it’s these motherfuckers. Anyone who posts about a new OnlyFans market for Iranian women gets the wall. Without exception. I’m afraid to say these people make my blood boil more than actual professed Nazis.

I’ve certainly seen capitalist imperial monstrosities that get me thinking about a wind tunnel full of crushed glass, but it helps to take a step back and remind myself that a regular-style bullet is good enough

Yeah, excesses of violence are to be avoided as much as possible. I think if you do monster shit during the revolution you psychically scar the society you build from it.

I do like that wind tunnel idea though. After seeing airburst munitions going off over civilian populations that just seems like a fair penalty for the perpetrators.
