If I got up and left the room, I would get yelled at for leaving the movie on. If I stopped the movie and left the room, I would get yelled at for fucking with the VCR.
I must have seen Bill Murray give himself the millennial bath bomb treatment about three dozen times over the course of one summer.
She also did this with Sister Act and, inexplicably, albeit to a lesser extent, To Wong Foo.
Fuck, that reminds me that I have to do a call with her soon. It’s always an ordeal; basically 90 minutes of getting talked over while she word-vomits some tirade about her own stepchildren/step-grandchild. It’s usually a good time to catch up on my alcohol consumption. Cutwater margaritas help the conversation along into the memory pit a little faster.
