These last few months almost everything has had the same smell on it. Whether it’s letters through the post, items bought in the supermarket, anything at all. It’s a very distinctive perfume smell. Doesn’t matter where it was bought or who delivered it, everything smells like this now.
Yes, I have noticed this for a while. Every package I get always has the same mild artificial perfume scent.

I noticed it for the first time in 2021 on international packages shipped by DHL, but then I started noticing on almost every delivery.

Sweet, mildly floral, and a bit like cleaning chemicals.
