The pineapple (Ananas comosus) is a tropical plant with an edible fruit; it is the most economically significant plant in the family Bromeliaceae.
The pineapple is native to South America, where it has been cultivated for many centuries. The introduction of the pineapple plant to Europe in the 17th century made it a significant cultural icon of luxury. Since the 1820s, pineapple has been commercially grown in greenhouses and many tropical plantations. The fruit, particularly its juice, has diverse uses in cuisines and desserts.
Pineapples grow as a small shrub; the individual flowers of the unpollinated plant fuse to form a multiple fruit. The plant normally propagates from the offset produced at the top of the fruit or from a side shoot, and typically matures within a year.

Hexbear party line on giving 2 weeks notice? Just accepted a job offer and they wanna know a start date. Kinda wanna just have friday be my last day and chill for a week or so before my new job.
It’s a bit contextual but the consequences of not giving standard notice are in reality basically zero.
They will probably be pissed as hell for a day or two but also they probably won’t want to make a big deal out of it or else they’ll telegraph to other workers that it’s a legal option so actually their incentive would be more to sweep it under the rug.
The only real caveat is if you work in an industry where this could affect your reputation.
Like, some corporations could contact your former workplaces to ask for a reference but really this only happens for your most recent one or two jobs if at all.
And maybe you work in a niche industry where everyone knows everyone in which case gossip can hurt you.
But, like, you’ve already got a new job.
I’d approach it with direct non-confrontational honesty and say you want some rest and recuperation (you could even say a mental health break) before starting the new role, with the new role being your new priority.
Clarity and honesty demand respect and if they’re assholes about it, well, that’s only your problem for a week.
But also consider if you can slack off like all hell for that week while collecting a pay check. You’re untouchable for a week so you can just live by the coffee machine.
Optional. If you already have another job and dont need a reference then do what you want. You dont owe em, they wouldmt give you notice if you were being fired or laid off
If you think you’ll ever need it as a reference I’d stick it out, unless it’s a safety issue or it’s especially toxic as a work place. Other than that, fuck em. You might be able to get the new job to delay your start a day or two so you can get that sweet time off in between.

Depends on the job, but I’ve always had jobs where someone I like would have a hard time if I left with no notice. I always did above my notice requirements to help make their lives easier.
