White House calls for legislation after ‘alarming’ proliferation of Taylor Swift deepfakes — Social media networks also need to do more to prevent the spread of the images, said press secretary Kar…::The White House said sexually-explicit AI-generated images of pop star Taylor Swift were concerning and that Congress should consider legislation to address fake, abusive images that are proliferating online.
Yeah, like people haven’t been making fake sexual images of celebrities for decades…
to be fair the tools recently got orders of magnitude better
Not better, just easier for the plebes to use.
There’s a world of difference in effort and intelligence needed between photoshopping a particular person’s head onto a body doing what you fantasize and just typing in “Taylor Swift sucking on a huge black cock while being fucked from behind” and having an AI art program just spit out the wanted result.
No, actually better. Sure, there’s been photoshopped images since forever, but Marilyn Monroe stripping for you while saying your name? Never been a thing…
From the little I’ve seen of these images - they are actually pretty hot and creative (as far as porn goes). it’s in an environment you usually couldn’t make porno in and in a “normal” music video vibe, not the creepy porn vibe. That’s why it went viral.
There are tons of AI generated taylor swift porn images but this quality makes it something quite different.
Porn that is not produced by or modeled on any specific human - complete fantasy - is morally quite good through. Fascinating to think that if in the future the AI ever becomes sentient, it will already have been in a long term intimate sexual relationship with a lot of humans.
Which is why we should ban all forms of digital image manipulation. Go back to fully analog methods of art. That will fix everything
Ban all imagery
Ban all sight.

Ban all computers, return to rock
So it’s okay to do as long as it’s difficult?
I’m not arguing for either side in that comment, just pointing out the landscape has changed
