Jewish person here just would like to remind everyone that in the Torah the first Jewish kingdom was built on genocide and the second kingdom was built on slavery (where the ruling tribe enslaved everyone else including the grand majority of other Jewish people)

These people are idiots even according to their own logic but then again you cant expect internal consistency from reactionaries

(Edit: I found the original source)

(Edit 2: Ironically now hes calling Trump antisemtic and racist, suddenly he has a problem with bigotry)

Thanks for being realistic about the roots of your religion/ethnic identity

Some of these people are completely delusional? Everyone is simply a human being for fucks sake

      • I wish that one day I could be proud of my people, or at the very least that one day I might not be ashamed to be Jewish. That one day my people may not be guilty of the greatest crimes against humanity.

Did you grow up practicing? Like is your family actively involved or is it more of an ethnicity/heritage thing

Just curious, I’m not Jewish although my step dad was Catholic and I spent a few years of my teens going to mass, I never really fully engaged or believed in it but as I got older I felt it would be dishonest to say I didn’t take away any positive concepts from Catholicism

I understand the feeling of being conflicted as the reality of the issues present in certain parts of human culture become painfully obvious while still longing to feel connected to or proud of certain elements of ourselves

I grew up as an actively practicing religious Orthodox Jew, my family is mostly Orthodox, today im not practicing but the culture and ideas have shaped me fundamentally in ways that I can never unlearn. All I can do is reject reaction to the best of my ability and take the good.

I’m not going to turn my brain into a pretzel to follow their illogic bullshit

I’m not going to do the mental work of imagining a people so precious that anthropology is oppression.

Unsurprising they have to appeal to some fake ass sky magic to justify their fake ass country and ramshackle identity

their divinely ordained task is to be exemplary to all of humanity. To be God’s ambassadors on earth, fighting for the good of everyone

Prove it shrug-outta-hecks prove your god exists and gave you this task. Then perhaps I will. Until then this is just nonsense that we could sub out for any other god.

To call a jew like anybody else is antiseptic because you filthy goy are beneath us.

A majority of western jews support “israel” and therefore support this ideology. The religion has been corrupted with zionism.

If anyone feels uncomfortable with that statement, you are practicing jewish exceptionalism.

And apparently if you’re a Jewish antizionist, you’re not a real Jew (which I expected to hear from Ben Shapiro, but apparently there’s something in Germany about this?! Like I think it’s the government’s official stance or something?!)

My partner’s father is an older Jewish long island bloke.

I’d like to say he’s coming around but he really isn’t. zionism has extreme contradictions with his core beliefs, but he ignores them.

He’s an atheist, and he still holds onto zionist principles, and tries to separate the “state” from the “people” which is impossible to do.

Libs, along with many western “leftists” would show no outrage if someone said “supporting trump means you support white supremacy”.

However, if someone says “supporting ‘israel’ means you support jewish supremacy” they will get bashed on the skull by their supposed “allies”.

They both have the same ideologies, yet we cannot compare the two for some reason.

        • Read him those news articles where it reports things like how the vast majority of Israelis believe forced sex with an acquaintance isn’tremoved. Except read it replacing Israel with one of their enemies. See if he’ll agree they’re an “evil people” at their core, and then reveal the switch.

I remember in the 00s antisemitism was literally non-existent and Jews almost held exalted positions in the social pecking order, despite the crimes committed by Israel. Israel really worked overtime to bring it back in force.

In Judaism you’re not supposed to write out the name of God. But “god” is not a name so personally I think it’s some archaic nonsense like celebrating holidays for two days or not turning on electrical things on the sabbath.

Translation: They’re saying that Jews are the supreme race of humans, as a matter of fact and not out of hatred. They say hatred is bad but Jewish supremacy is… not good or bad, but factual; therefore denial of this “fact” can derive only from bigotry.

Israel really needs a new government, even more than the US… Those in power are insane, and they’re clearly not representative of their entire nationality yet they put their own citizens in a bad light.

Kind of like the prejudice towards general German population after World War 2, which still lives in the minds of some politicians.

Anyway, I’m pretty sure some even crazier lobbyist multi billionaires are behind all of this, and figures like Netanyahu or Trump are probably their puppets.

How does anyone still believe this? We’ve seen plenty of support for genocide from the average Israeli, not even going into how many of them openly mock their Palestinian victims.
