I don’t think XV is that bad, but it’s clearly unfinished even though it was in development for a decade. It’s obvious when you go to that Venice-inspired city that has almost nothing to do in it, and the end of the game runs out of steam hard: one of the chapters is just a turret section. They also tried to sell extra chapters as DLC and tried to pivot to a separate multiplayer co-op mode, just lol, didn’t care about any of that.

The story in general is just a big bunch of nothing, especially if you haven’t watched that animated movie. I did enjoy just cruising around with my bros and the relatively open world, while clearly ripping off Xenoblade Chronicles, was fun.
