It’s like one of those early AI images where you can’t distinguish anything from anything else

Anybody else think this well is comically small compared to the rest of the property?

i’ve watched a bunch of barndo tour videos on yt over the last few years because it’s like looking at strange alien life forms. just baffling.

It’s fascinating how there’s simultaneously no space to do anything but too much space without walls to do anything. It’s formless yet cramped.

Also the fucking bathroom looks like it’s from a bar?! But worse?! WAIT IS THE DOOR TOO BIG FOR THE FRAME? WHO INSTALLED ALL THE WALL CRAP LIKE THAT? WHY DIDNT YOU BUILD A COUNTER?!

The rest of the house I can explain through the opulent hubris of the Yankee Mind but the bathroom being absolute dog shit in terms of just… cosntruction? Indefensible. Grover Bathroom.

Edit: wait I didn’t even notice there was a link to the listing.

Oh shit it actually /does/ look like they stapled some kind of tower into a warehouse.

Every chair has office wheels? Every table is surrounded by office chairs? The whole building just looks like a bar??? Why are there so many random seating options in the worse places?

Oh good cloth upholstered bench across from a sink in a bathroom. Glad we’re just destroying that.

That bedroom in the ceiling has to be absolute misery in the winter oh my god it would go from freezing to broiling every 5 feet you walk wouldn’t it? Probably worse if I had to guess about the state of the plumbing, gas and insulation in the rest of the house.

The two barstools at the top of the tower are fantastic. No tables or cabinets for anything you might want to keep up there, no back support for looking out. Symmetrical as the shining twins as it should be.

The nature on the property looks kinda nice though. Just gotta kill the lawn (it’s on its last legs anyway).

visible-disgust all that wood in the bathroom, the urinal in the bathroom, fucking Scot’s Place wannabe fucking throne, the man cave “aesthetic” of every random bullshit sign you find in a hardware store/facebook marketplace

I usually love the wood cabin look but this just looks like shit

Yeah, this looks like the original owner built it cuz they liked it and the current owner tried to force their aesthetic on it.

    Garage Mahal

    visible-disgust

NGL, I’d totally be down for a property and place like this if the interior wasn’t designed by a child. These post frame barns are pretty enticing when you can build out the interior however you like (case in point) and they always put heated flooring in, which just sounds super comfy for once fall comes around.

Strangely, there’s a self storage place near my old town called the Garage Mahal. I thought it was a quite clever name.

Scott’s Place is really bothering me here. First off, the ugly as fuck recliner being off-center and too far back. It seems like a PITA to get that recliner out of there as it’s too narrow and the step is just asking for an accident. But then, we can tell that ceiling is barely taller than the door. Assuming a standard 80 inch door, and using the other chair as reference I’m thinking Scott’s Place is 18-20 inches off the floor. That means there’s only about five feet of vertical space in there. You’d be hitting your head on the ceiling every time you got up.

3 bedrooms for 3.3 million dollars? Wowie, that’s 1.1mil per bedroom, what a steal!

Anyway, this is the kinda guy driving a $80k truck and insisting he’s working class because he loves the aesthetic while being a fucking CEO or some shit.

The wooden panels EVERYWHERE inside is gross.

What’s with the weird church tower thing? It’s the ugliest thing about it architecturally and yet there’s no photos showing what the inside of that part looks like.
