How could I possibly know that?

Well for one as you know, the us military is a demonic genocidal force that causes mass suffering the world over and holds back human progress. You can also ask the person why they said that to find out instead of reacting with anger at them.

The reason is because they have family in Iraq who are still alive and doing well god willing but were there when america committed genocide against them. I would suggest you apologize profusely without expecting forgiveness.

Even if they didn’t have family in Iraq at the time there is nothing wrong with expressing disdain at a fascist military force. You shouldn’t swear at people who do so. The comment did not personally specifically command you to die or go to hell.

I did a hell of a lot more damage as an ideological conservative in my teens than I did in the navy

Its time to take a break from the internet after you apologize.

Maybe you didn’t read it that way but I did. I know I deserve to die but I don’t think I deserve to put a gun in my mouth or go to eternal hellfire.

I’m not minimizing how bad it was to be at a computer desk supporting what was going on in Iraq and Afghanistan in 2010 but I think a lot of people here are as guilty as I was but refuse to accept responsibility and I try my best to do that

Part of doing your best to do that will be apologizing to the person you swore at for expressing disdain towards the fact that your military attacked his family with genocidal intentions.

I am not and never will apologize to saying a rude thing to someone wishing me into an eternal torture chamber. I don’t think even Nazis deserve that, just a quick bullet, let alone a person repentant for being on a military computer years after the main thrust into Afghanistan and Iraq

“I helped the nazis who committed genocide against your family but fuck you for expressing disdain at this”

Take a break and come back later to apologize in earnest or I will report you for genocide apologia. Furthermore the god you worship is a fallen evil creature that created the material world as a plaything for its maniacal desires fyi. For what? Being as guilty as any other white American? You’re not wrong but there are not enough hours in the day

But to clarify I’m not denying we’re guilty as sin

Genocide apologia by insulting the victims of a genocide for speaking out against the genocidal force. It doesn’t matter how long it takes, take a break first but come back and apologize.

Don’t take the opinion of the children on here too seriously. Most of them are young white kids from over privileged western nations who have never had to make a hard decision in their lives.

My family has been shattered by the US government and I can still differentiate between a practicing fascist and a comrade. The most powerful thing about socialism is that it reaches across nationality, ethnicity, and even personal history to turn a former enemy into an ally.

This site is good in some aspects, but people here are generally not interested in committing to mutual aid and growing the movement. Most people here are just virtu signaling and trashing people over eclectic theory they never actually act on.

The person who made the original comment against the US military is not white nor from a western nation. Their family has also been subjected to genocide by the US military itself, which has utterly destroyed Iraq and destabilized the entire region to the point of widespread poverty. This is just some right wing cope thought terminating cliche used to prevent criticism of genocidal war crimes.

Cope. The only one trashing others is OP, who started this whole comment thread by swearing at someone for voicing displeasure at a genocidal military force because OP got personally offended. Everyone scolding OP for doing so is doing it in the most civil way possible.

It isn’t “eclectic theory” to be against white supremacy and genocide. Stop the cope.

The person who made the original comment against the US military is not white nor from a western nation.

Then I wouldn’t be talking about them?

Their family has also been subjected to genocide by the US military itself, which has utterly destroyed Iraq and destabilized the entire region to the point of widespread poverty.

No they are Persian, and from a country that has also been to war on a devastating scale with Iraq in modern times. I’m not saying this to diffuse the US’s responsibility and participation in the Gulf war, or even the Iraq and Iranian war. I mention this because if we focus on nationalism instead of class consciousness and class solidarity we begin to not be able to see the forest for the trees.

This is just some right wing cope thought terminating cliche used to prevent criticism of genocidal war crimes.

                    What is?

Cope. The only one trashing others is OP, who started this whole comment thread by swearing at someone for voicing displeasure at a genocidal military force because OP got personally offended.

No I see multiple people making things personal and lashing out at each other.

Did he overreact and take things personally, yes. However, so did our Persian brother. Op did not kill their family, just as op did not kill my family. Op joined a violent organization out of inherited ignorance and has since changed his ways and feels shame for his past.

There is no reason to be mad at him as an individual, nor does he currently represent the US military. For his realized class consciousness, his former colleagues and family would label him a traitor. And what do we do for him denying himself the easy path? We label him dog of war and kick him from under our roof?

                    against white supremacy and genocide.

How is lambasting someone who wants to be a comrade being “against white supremacy and genocide”. ?

I think you owe a debt to society, as do we all. Yours just may be a little heavier because of your past, it’s just not insurmountable as some allege.
