Those who were around in the early days of the news megathread may remember Pedro Castillo, the left-leaning leader of Peru who was deposed in December 2022. He was replaced by Dina Boluarte, the first woman to be President of Peru, who described herself as a progressive but afterwards routinely sided with Peruvian conservatives and American interests. To say she was unpopular is an understatement of titanic proportions - she descended to such lows that she was, at one point, the single most unpopular leader on the planet. As with most deeply unpopular leaders that side with the West, she kept power for a bafflingly long time.
However, on October 10th, after a period of protests against the government, she was impeached and removed by Peru’s Congress in a unanimous vote. José Jerí was sworn in as the new President, who was previously the President of the Congress and is a member of a centrist Peruvian party. The government is trying the classic strategy: keep doing the same thing as before, and sacrifice an unpopular figure - here, Boluarte - in the hopes that this appeases the crowd.
Is this strategy working? It doesn’t really seem to be - protests are not only continuing, but strengthening, as it is clear that neoliberalism will not reformed and the brutality by police will not stop (there was very recently a high-profile case in which a musician, Mauricio Ruiz, was murdered). Controversies surrounding Jerí, including allegations of SA, are already being reported. If Jerí is deposed, the next person in line to try their hand at ruling will be the former army general Roberto Chiabra, who would be the ninth President in less than a decade.

VW was already facing a $12 billion financing gap, that is why they wanted to keep as few of the chips in stock (we love “just in time inventory methods”, don’t we) to improve their cashflow.
Maybe they should disassemble washing machines and take the chips from there?

The rumors are getting louder about a Russian crossing of the Dnieper into Kherson city. Previously there were some unverified reports of Russian soldiers on Karantynnyy island (blue circle). Now they have grown to encompass Korabel island (red circle).
Famous Russian VDV Telegram channel HersonEnot is posting drone videos, claiming a “mop up” operation is underway, though to my knowledge there is no hard evidence of the presence of Russian troops, so their claims should be taken with a big grain of salt.
Edit: Well, now we have (CW: drone strikes) proof from the Ukrainians that Russia did indeed attack Karantynnyy island, which validates the story somewhat.
Kherson is going to be a nightmare to take. There’s no way to encircle it, every single bridge between Kherson and Nikopol and Zaporizhzhia is down and it’s marshland to cross.
They’re going to have to obliterate the entire city with artillery in a slow and drawn out process.
Maybe if Russia can build a bridge at Kozatske they can move in but otherwise I think this is going to take months. The Antonivka bridge will be impossible to build as troops stationed in Kherson will have fire control over it.

Ukraine launched cruise missile strikes within Russia’s internationally recognised borders using British-French made Storm Shadow/SCALP-EG cruise missiles, and posted such on their general staff twitter account.
On 21 October 2025, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in coordination with the Land Forces, the Navy, and other units of the Defence Forces of Ukraine, struck the Bryansk Chemical Plant.
A massive combined missile and air strike was carried out, including the use of air-launched Storm Shadow missiles, which successfully penetrated the Russian air defence system.
Strom Shadow/SCALP-EG is again being used for strikes on internationally recognised Russian territory, with Ukraine bragging about it publicly. Also there were more targets than just the chemical plant in Bryansk (a substation and ammunition depot were also targeted), so the statement is incorrect in it’s implication that just the chemical plant was targeted.
Oh nice we’re going to get some cool Oreshnik footage again
Probably not, there were ATACMS and Strom Shadow strikes on Russian territory last year, even after the use of Oreshnik. Oreshnik/RS-26 Rubezh is not a weapon of which there’s a huge “magazine capacity”. It’s an intermediate range ballistic missile that’s very expensive and time consuming to produce for the amount of damage done when using conventional warheads. It will be reserved to hit highly important targets in Europe in a possible NATO - Russia war, like large airbases. Ukraine doesn’t have targets that are worth firing another Oreshnik on, it’s more of a warning to Europe/NATO.
Oreshnik/RS-26 launch vehicle model on Lukashenko’s desk, plus satellite imagery.
We can have one Oreshnik, as a treat.
There’s no strategic value targets, but they should have copied the Americans in launching two in succession to scare their real opponents. Then again, it didn’t work then.
i mean, unless russia starts spamming notams for a month, and hits ukraine rada during some mobilization vote with oreshnik, i will continue thinking them unserious tbh. the advantage is the speed of the thingy, according to leaks ukraine was notified like 20 minutes before, and even then not knowing direction.
What’s the significance of this and does this change much?
Probably won’t change much. It’s significant because this type of cruise missile relies on targeting data and mission planning that Ukraine cannot perform itself, done with assistance by the UK and using satellite data from US satellites for terrain contour matching navigation. Russia made a big deal about the use of these weapons on Russian soil about a year ago, which led up to the use of the Russian Oreshnik/RS-26 Rubezh intermediate range ballistic missile against a manufacturing complex in Ukraine, with a cluster munitions warhead.
Suing The State: Danish Secret Police Told Politicians That Purged Top Spy Traded Stolen Bicycles For BDSM Sex
A Danish courtroom became the stage for a surreal legal drama Tuesday, where Lars Findsen, the former head of the country’s spy agency FE is suing the state for privacy violations, unearthing a bizarre tale of allegations of trading stolen bicycles for BDSM sex and a secret police briefing that shocked the Nordic hermit kingdom’s political elite.
Lars Findsen is seeking compensation from the state. His lawsuit focuses on a confidential 2022 meeting where the Danish Security and Intelligence Service (PET) briefed top politicians on intimate details of his private life.
At the time of the briefing, Findsen was detained and accused of leaking state secrets to the press regarding Denmark’s complicity in American eavesdropping against communication cables. All charges against him were eventually dropped, and he was awarded compensation for unjustified detention and surveillance.
Now, he is back in court, arguing that the state crossed a new line by sharing salacious personal details with politicians.
Taking the stand as the day’s key witness, Morten Messerschmidt, leader of the fascist Danish People’s Party, recounted the 2022 briefing with palpable unease. He testified that PET chief Finn Borch Andersen presented a “vulnerability report” on Findsen containing graphic and detailed depictions of the spy chief’s sex life.
“What I remember very clearly was a description… that Lars Findsen had a sex life based on stealing relatively expensive bicycles,” Messerschmidt told the court, describing how the alleged scheme involved stealing bikes from train stations and delivering them to a summer house where his girlfriend would reward him with BDSM sex. Messerschmidt said he left the briefing “relatively shocked” by the nature of the allegations.
Findsen categorically denied the allegations outside the courtroom. “That is a conspiracy dreamt up in the heads of PET,” he told reporters, noting that the bicycle-sex narrative did not appear in the official written report.
That vulnerability report, most of which were read behind closed doors to protect Findsen’s family, was ostensibly compiled to assess his blackmail risk. It contended that by keeping aspects of his sex life secret, posting pictures to dating sites, and conducting intimate conversations on his work phone, Findsen made himself a potential target for foreign intelligence agencies.
In his testimony, Findsen offered a different rationale for using his work phone for sexting with his girlfriend, stating that he also used it as his private phone and stating that he did so specifically to reduce the risk of blackmail by keeping the conversations on a secure, official device rather than other platforms.
The report also contained the claim that someone in Findsen’s network sold marijuana and that Findsen had used his work phone to discuss marijuana. Findsen denies having used drugs in his adult life and denies any connections to drug trade.
The state, represented in court by its legal counsel, argues that sharing this information with political leaders was relevant and necessary to keep them informed during the ongoing criminal case against Findsen at the time.
Findsen’s lawyer, Lars Kjeldsen, sharply disagreed. “The case is not about what the authorities knew and what information they had collected about Lars Findsen,” Kjeldsen stated. “The case is about what information was passed on to politicians.” He characterized the vulnerability report as an attempt at “character assassination.”
A verdict is expected at a later date.

Who gives a fuuuuuuuuuuuuuck what his sex life is? Unless you’re a fucking pedo, sex with dogs or having an affair almost nobody will give a fucking damn what your kinks are it’s 2025 for fucks sake.
Blackmail is in the eye of the beheld.
As in all such situations, by stigmatizing sex, the state creates opportunities for blackmail against its own interest.
By making this public legal action, Findsen demonstrates that he would not have blackmailable by this information because he dngaf. But somebody else might’ve been.
The basic premise sounds like doing self oppo resarch.
Casual mention of “the day’s key witness, Morten Messerschmidt, leader of the fascist Danish People’s Party” suggests the entire text is misdirective.

are people really leaving expensive bicycles at train stations or is Messerschmidt the fascist (which also: c’mon man) like all fascist just entirely unable to guess what a bicycle cost? Or was this motherfucker stealing Urban Arrows from train stations?

Russia has started using a new 1000lb/500kg glide bomb kit in Ukraine, that is significantly more refined than previous glide kits, and takes heavy inspiration from the Israeli SPICE-1000 manufactured by Rafael. In fact, the new Russian glide bomb is so similar, that I bet most won’t be able to tell the difference between wreckage of it and a SPICE-1000. Which is which?

spoiler
Top image (1) is the Israeli SPICE-1000, bottom image collage (2) is the new Russian glide bomb.
This new Russian glide bomb is unpowered, and is set to offer a range of over 100km, almost double the range of the more crude previous Russian designs. The SPICE-1000 has a range of 125km according to Rafael, to give an estimate of a similar class of weapon. There are rumours of the existence of a rocket or turbine assisted version of this new Russian glide bomb, with ranges approaching 200km, but no images of that yet, just rumours.
One key difference between the new Russian glide bomb and the SPICE-1000 is guidance. SPICE-1000 features an electro optical seeker (camera in everyday English), in the nose to allow for accurate strikes even when satellite navigation is jammed or spoofed, and to allow for different approach angles/azimuths, or even human in the loop guidance if there is a datalink between the weapon and the aircraft firing it. The new Russian glide bomb does not have this, no optical seeker, it still relies purely on satellite and inertial navigation to hit static targets.
Photograph of the new Russian glide bombs:

500kg bomb!
I googled and apparently this is a videogame reference (Helldivers) . These ones fly over 100km/65mi, so you won’t be seeing the launch aircraft and it will take some time to arrive (the videogame one is almost instant from what I saw on YouTube) if you call in air support in a ditch in Ukraine.
Also I remember something about this videogame reference being engraved on the bullets used in the Charlie Kirk assasination.
What makes this better? Just aerodynamic improvements?
Yeah the aerodynamic improvements allow for a much longer range. If you compare this style of longer, sleeker folding wings and the conical tail section vs previous Russian glide bomb kits, the difference is obvious, you don’t need much knowledge of aerodynamics to see it.
The previous designs appear crude by comparison, for example:
The folding wing mount doesn’t conform to the shape of the bomb and extends as a straight line for the whole length of the bomb, the mini vertical stabilisers are welded or glued onto the bomb itself. This is not to mock these earlier designs, they served their purpose well.
Warning From Economists: Reckless Spending And Tax Cuts Projected To Send Danish Economy In Tailspin
A council of bourgeois economists advising Denmark’s Social Democrat-led right-wing regime has issued a stark warning: The Nordic hermit kingdom’s era of budget surpluses is set to end, with public finances projected to plunge into deficit by 2029. This forecast, a sharp reversal from earlier predictions of a modest surplus, points to a potent mix of unfunded tax cuts and a massive, opaque military buildup as some if the leading causes of the fiscal collapse.
While necessary green transition spending and routine benefit adjustments contribute to the fiscal malaise, the core of the problem lies elsewhere. A costly, unfinanced tax reform that benefits the employed while bypassing pensioners and the unemployed, and a dramatic surge in military expenditure exempt from standard fiscal oversight mechanisms.
The fiscal outlook is further clouded by expectations of lower revenue from corporate and capital gains taxes as the economy cools. At the same time, tax deductions for homeowners’ interest payments are projected to consume a growing share of GDP, as rising interest rates increase and property values are rising.
The most significant pressure, however, comes from the regime’s aggressive militarization. The regime is funneling significant sums to traffic arms to the Kiev regime, prolonging the US-Russian proxy war in Ukraine. Domestically, it has launched a military expansion campaign with military spending set to exceede Cold War heights, justified by a campaign of jingoism, fear, and paranoia.
This spending spree lacks all transparency. A group of leading economists, including Frederik I. Pedersen, chief economist for the 3F union, has publicly criticized the opaque process.
“It is a complete black box what is going on with the defense expenditures,” Pedersen stated, noting that no one can accurately account for past military spending or future commitments. By exempting these vast sums from standard oversight, the regime adds concerns about waste and corruption on top of those of fiscal recklessness.
When confronted, the regime has dismissed such criticism. Troels Lund Poulsen, the powerful head of the Liberal Party-controlled Ministry of Defense, made the striking claim that the Danish public “can’t afford not to” proceed with this grandiose militarization.
Faced with the looming crisis, the regime’s economic advisors now propose to balance the books not by curbing military excess or reversing tax cuts for key voter demographics, but by cancelling a proposed and popular pension reform. This reform would have allowed Danish workers, who already face one of the world’s highest retirement ages, to convert some of the gains in average life expectancy into more years of retirement rather than more years of work as is the case today.
Thus, as billions flow unchecked to arms dealers and tax breaks for regime supporters remain sacrosanct, ordinary Danes are being told they must foot the bill by working longer and accepting the steady degradation of their welfare state.

US demands that Denmark sends it more money for weapons, Denmark starts having financial problems as a result, the US gets Greenland for cheap to bail them out.
Win/win/win for the US! And I’m sure that Denmark is begging for even more of the same!
Trump is on tutorial difficulty when dealing with Europe. Europeans literally just shoot themselves whenever America demands anything.
Why is Denmark even building up it’s military? The only countries that can realistically wage war against Denmark are Germany and the US.
Why is Denmark even building up it’s military?
The official explanation is some deranged “the Russian lusts for Europe” bullshit, allegedly Putin is going to come and eat us all if we don’t constantly increase military spending.
On a more cynical level the Danish regime is incredibly unpopular and paranoia over a foreign enemy takes attention away from the regime’s mismanagement of the cost-of-living crisis, their many scandals and their regressive policies.
The military spending spree is also a firm of tribute payment to Washington as well as a way for Danish leaders of demonstrating their loyalty to their imperial overlord. Atlanticism had an incredibly strong import in the ruling elite and to most of them being anything but houndishly deferential to America is simply incomprehensible.
Latest Trump truth social post on Palestine:
Trump is now openly talking about sending what appears to be the “International Stabilisation Force” (ISF) mentioned in his 20 point peace plan into Gaza to fight Hamas.
Ah yes, Israel simply doesn’t have the equipment or experience necessary to beat Hamas, we need Egypt and Turkey to send forces?
From a narrative perspective (if it happens) the idea is to isolate Hamas from the wider Arab and Muslim world. Hamas will no longer be fighting Israel, they’ll be fighting “their own people” If they go in, expect to hear Egypt and Turkey accusing Hamas of using “human shields and hiding in schools”, just like Israel does.
I fully expect them to be even more brutal and sadistic than the IOF. Maybe not in terms of torturing captives but more in the way of shamelessly bombing and machine gunning areas with civilians and declaring them terrorists after the fact and because they’re armed forces from Muslim majority countries they’ll get away with it even better than the IOF and because none of them are held to the idea of “only democracy in the middle east, most moral army” like the propaganda tries to do for the IOF the media will just lean into it months after the offensive starts and say “see how barbarous these brown people are to each other? this is why we have to support isra-hell (because they’re white and virtuous and good)”.
It really is a best case scenario for the empire and pissrael because it takes the heat off them and also means no more dead zionists which is unpopular at home, instead they get Muslim pawns to carry out the genocide and when the courts and history get around to looking at it they’ll all be hopping up and down pointing at the crimes of these Muslim armies and say it proves there was no racial-religious animus and the whole thing is “complicated”[tm].
In addition, isn’t Hamas reasonably popular in all of the countries that are (supposedly) sending forces? Certainly when compared with Israel, or their own governments? Seems risky to even ask their soldiers to do that.
Not sure if that public support translates much more beyond what we’ve seen in other Western countries, especially regarding the military.
The civilian populations are a different class to the career soldiers; anyone they send to Gaza will follow orders if they think it’s serving some kind of “peace”.
They don’t even need to engage in fighting, just sit in their little bunkers and let Israel goosestep around them, just like the UN did when Israel was struggling to make a dent in Hezb.
Saying shit like this is going to make the situation collapse. The only thing that was making this ceasefire possible was the belief that a peacekeeping force of arab nations could be trusted. If they can’t be trusted then they won’t be allowed in and we’ll be right back to square one.
The love and spirit for the Middle East has not been seen like this in a thousand years!

Plans for Trump-Putin meeting shelved days after Budapest talks proposed
wonder why? maybe Putin just wanted to poison the Zelensky Washington meet
or something else? when is the US gonna retire Zelensky? What’s the point of having him at this point?
Apparently this is because the Lavrov - Rubio phone call went badly. The US is saying that they want to freeze the conflict at the current frontlines, Russia wants all of Donetsk oblast. (Positions unchanged since the Alaska summit of this year).
maybe Putin just wanted to poison the Zelensky Washington meet
Yeah definitely. That’s part of why Putin participates in these charades like the Alaska summit . According to the Financial Times, Trump and Witkoff, during their discussions with the Ukrainian delegation, sounded like Hexbear news mega posters circa April 2022. (In other words, they took Putin at his word and believed everything he said). If a simple phone call can buy time before the US takes aggressive actions/get them to pressure Ukraine instead of Russia/postpone the delivery of say Tomahawk or JASSM, why not? Clearly it worked. I just wonder how much longer this will go on for.
The problem with getting rid of Zelenskyy is that the only person popular enough (Zaluzhnyi) is biding his time in the UK. He’s not going to come in to replace Zelenskyy and sign an unpopular (in Ukraine) deal to hand over Donetsk to Russia. He’ll wait it out in Britain.
so what’s the deal?
- Russia is stalling diplomatically, until UKR army completely collapses on the battlefield
- Zelensky is trying to escalate desperately whatever the cost
- Trump admin is divided between Ukraine hawks and the people who think Ukr is a sunk cost, but don’t want the blame?
- EU is barking, but completely subjected to US foreign policy (just one more sanction bro)
Foreign policy-wise we are back in March
Russia is stalling diplomatically, until UKR army completely collapses on the battlefield
That’s the bet. The problem is when will this happen, or if it’ll happen quick enough. The much hyped “summer offensive” stalled out relatively quickly. We’re now seeing Russian armoured columns returning to the battlefield, getting hit hard by drones and artillery. I guess Russia will just keep up the armoured attacks until they breakthrough, even if it’s only to take a little bit of ground at a time.
Zelensky is trying to escalate desperately whatever the cost
Yes, because this is existential for Ukraine.
Trump just wants a peace deal so he can get his Nobel prize. The problem is, neither side is co operating on that, and the only way to force the issue would be to risk escalation with Russia or walk away from Ukraine. Neither is palatable right now.
The EU will continue being the EU, they don’t have the capacity or willingness to give Ukraine what it needs. When Ukraine asks for air defence, they ask for Patriot, not SAMP/T. When they ask for fighter jets, they ask for F-16s. When they ask for long range fires, they ask for Tomahawk and JASSM.
I guess Russia will just keep up the armoured attacks until they breakthrough, even if it’s only to take a little bit of ground at a time.
I think the plan is to use the current muddy season to take key urban positions (Kupyansk, Pokrovsk, Siversk/Lyman) and then, possibly once the ground freezes, do a big push to collapse Ukraine’s entire eastern defensive line.
I know it sounds a bit sensational, but I really do believe that something has been brewing since Belousov became Defense Minister. The US surely sees it coming which is probably why they have been trying hard to freeze the conflict.
If I’m right, it’s going to look like Russia pulled an entire new, modernized army out of their ass. The reason the West isn’t publicly warning about this is to keep Ukrainian morale up, in order to keep them fighting for as long as possible.
The war in Ukraine is the biggest simultaneous “nothing ever happens” and “something is happening” ever, it’s so wild to watch. Eventually the Ukrainian army is going to collapse, and it’s going to be wild watching the dial shift heavily towards “something is happening” after the front line basically not moving for two years. Who the fuck knows when that happens though.
Was Putin going to Budapest?
That was the idea, however weird it is.
Bruh ain’t no way Putin is going to a NATO country which is also surrounded by NATO allies. Alaska was an one-off situation because of proximity to Russia and
bending over backwards for his Nobel Peace Prize.

ProtonVPN is free (with unlimited data, but limited servers) and not a dodgy peer to peer service like HolaVPN, so you can try that to access telegram channels.
Proton is CIA. Proton AG is modern Crypto AG.
Thankfully I have a solid non-Israeli vpn, I just need a functioning computer which I should have in a week and a half

This morning I was renewing my visa in the Chinese Consulate in New York and on all the screens, on a loop, were various different documentaries about all the various different times where the Dalai Lama was appointed or otherwise officially sanctioned by the Ming or Qing dynasties. One of them even explicitly said, “proving that the right to appoint the Dalai Lama rests with the authority of the centeal government, a principle upheld in modern times.” Rather amusing, the CPC is obviously preparing for the current Dalai Lama’s death and is laying the groundwork for when they appoint a new one. I imagine we’ll have an Avignon Pope situation, with at least two Dalai Lamas, one in Tibet and one in exile in India.
China is the blueprint on how to handle religion. You allow organized religion to exist through a secular government while quietly pushing the scale behind the scenes so all the clergy and “reincarnated” lamas are coincidentally ones who submit to the party line while churches that refuse to toe the line like Falun Gong get the hammer dropped on them.
When Italian communists seize power, the trick is to not abolish the Catholic church, but to force the cardinals to elect a new pope with papal name Marxus Engelus Leninus Stalinus I.
I’m not disagreeing but Falun Gong is more than just a dissenting church, it’s a death cult funded by the CIA
It’s gonna peter out when the Dalai croaks imo, however discredited he is he had a period of official status and substantial support based on the ambition to balkanize the PRC. a newborn emigré one will have over a decade before they can even make public appearances, nevermind the project of tibetan independence is basically dead
That is 100% the plan. As a matter of fact, something similar already happened with the Panchen Lama. According to Wikipedia:
The Dalai Lama named Gedhun Choekyi Nyima as the 11th incarnation of the Panchen Lama on 14 May 1995. The Chinese government insisted that the 11th Panchen Lama has to be chosen via the golden urn. In selecting a name, lottery numbers were drawn from the Golden Urn. Chinese authorities named Gyancain Norbu as the search committee’s choice on 11 November 1995.Gedhun Choekyi Nyima has not been observed by an independent party since 17 May 1995. The Chinese government claims he is living a “normal private life”. Tibetans and human rights groups continue to campaign for his release.
I’m also going to guess that the Dalai Lama is coincidentally going to get reincarnated in the Tibetan gusano community this time around. There’s no way that their going to let China get both of them this time around.
